Ms. Laura Schmid is the Skills and Employability Specialist for North Africa and the Horn of Africa at the International Labour Organization (ILO), based in Cairo, Egypt. In her role, she supports 11 countries, including Ethiopia, Egypt, and the Maghreb region, focusing on inclusive skills development, quality STEM education, employability, and career guidance.
