Eddy Rizk

Eddy Rizk is CEO & General Manager - Philips North Africa since January 2023.

In this role, he is responsible for the revenue and profitable growth of Philips’ business across Northern Africa – including Egypt and the Maghreb region.

In his career spanning over 20 years, Eddy has held many different positions and brings general management, people centric leadership and sales & marketing experience across the Middle East and African regions.

Eddy joined Philips in December 2010 and has been integrally involved in driving the growth of the company in the META region.

From 2010 to 2016, Eddy was the General Manager for Philips Levant.

In 2017, Eddy assumed the role of Business Marketing Leader for Philips’ Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Guided Therapy business in Middle East & Türkiye.

In 2019 Eddy accepted the role of Precision Diagnosis business Leader for Middle East and Türkiye market, which then expanded to include Africa from 2021.

He continues to lead this business in addition to his General Manager, Philips North Africa position. Eddy is committed to shaping the future for Healthcare in Northern Africa and transforming the local organization to become a leader in Health Technology.

His priorities remain on helping deliver clinical and consumer innovation in the region and developing opportunities for accelerated sustainable growth through strategic partnerships and collaborations.

Prior to joining Philips, Eddy was the General Manager for Nokia Mobile Phones in North Africa.

Eddy holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from American University of Beirut. He is married with 3 children and enjoys water sports in his free time.
