Helen Featherstone

Helen Featherstone is General Manager, GMC Services International Ltd (GMCSI) and has held this position since September 2019. She was appointed to the Board of GMCSI on 1 March 2023. Prior to this role, Helen held the position of GMCSI Business Development Director. She joined GMCSI in July 2018. Helen’s primary role is the successful commercial and operational running of the GMCSI business. Helen leads a team working with International Ministries of Health and Regulators to identify global business opportunities, develop solid client relationships, programme manage client projects effectively and ensure the overall success of the GMCSI operation. Under her leadership, numerous consulting projects have been successfully delivered across multiple geographies. Helen moved to the United Kingdom in February 2015 where she initially worked as Offerings Director, Consumer Health and Account Director for Global and European Consumer Health clients for IQVIA (formerly IMS Health). Helen had moved to the United Kingdom from Thailand where she held both General Management and Commercial Director roles, with responsibility for Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos. Originally from South Africa, Helen’s career experience in South Africa and English-speaking Africa was predominantly in consumer marketing, managing the launch of new brands as well as developing solid 360-degree marketing and implementation plans. She held various marketing positions in both pharmaceutical and fast-moving consumer goods industries. Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes University, South Africa, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management and a MBA from the University of Hull, UK.
