Ibrahim El Kerdany

Ibrahim El Kerdany is a Doctor and Professor of Mental Health at the Higher Institute of Public Health, Alexandria University, and has worked in the United Nations system for 24 years, including 16 years as Head of Health and Nutrition at UNICEF in Egypt.


He then worked for a year as a consultant for the Gulf AIDS programme based in Saudi Arabia, funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the UNICEF office in Saudi Arabia.


Dr El Kerdany joined the World Health Organization as a regional media advisor and spokesperson for the organization for more than 7 years.

He also worked with Rotary International in Evanston, Illinois, as a regional polio program advisor for the African region and the Middle East.


Dr Ibrahim El Kerdany is a well-known media personality in Egypt who has worked for 16 years in radio and television, presenting news bulletins and youth programs related to health and behavior, as well as the famous program "Good Morning Egypt" and English language programs.
