Indrani Sarkar

Indrani Sarkar is the Regional Child Protection Specialist at UNICEF Middle East and North Africa Regional Office, with specific focus on prevention and response to harmful practices (child marriage and FGM). 

 

Indrani is a development practitioner with more than 14 years of experience in child rights programming in development and humanitarian settings and shaping public policy and advocacyfor children. 


She has worked with UN agencies, I/NGO’s and governments on child rights-based program management, strategies for youth engagement, adolescent empowerment & development, analysis of national and international policies for children & adolescents and advocacy on protection issues. 

 

Indrani has a Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai (India) and Masters in Public Administration from School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
