Khaled Zakaria Amin

Khaled Zakaria Amin is a Professor Doctor at the School of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.


He is also the head of the Macroeconomic Policy Center at Egypt’s Institute of National Planning. He is advisor to Egypt’s minister of planning and economic development on policies and structural reform. 


He served as a visiting professor of public policy and finance in the American University in Cairo and New York University, USA. 

 

Ph.D. and M.Phil. Degrees in Public Administration (public finance specialization) from Wagner School of Public Service, New York University, in years 2005 and 2003, respectively. 

 

Worked as a governance, national and local finance and planning, public administration reform, and decentralization consultant for different international institutions and government agencies including the World Bank, the UNDP, the USAID, and the EU in Egypt and in the Middle East countries. 


Served as a member in various ministerial committees in Egypt on governance, finance, urban development, planning, civil service, and local development issues.
