Randa Abou El Naga

Abou el Naga is the Noncommunicable disease & Mental Health Officer at WHO Country Office Egypt with more than 20 years of experience in area of noncommunicable disease, mental Health, nutrition, disabilities, injuries and rehabilitation. 

 

Under her assignment at WHO Egypt, WHO supported MOHP in planning and implementation of mental health national surveys to assess the epidemiology of mental Health in Egypt in the years 2017 and 2023. Additionally, WHO supported MOHP in the development of national e-Mental health platform, a milestone of the government’s digitalization of mental healthcare in Egypt. 


In addition to implementation of WHO mhGAP in Egypt.


Abou el Naga is the focal point for childhood adolescent mental health and psychosocial support (CAMHPSS); joint program with UNICEF.

 

Abou El Naga holds MD degree in public health, prevention and Social Medicine from Faculty of Medicine Alexandria University, Egypt where she worked as a professor of Public Health.
