Selena Bajraktarevic

Ms. Bajraktarevic has over 26 years of experience in multicultural environments focusing on the health systems reform including primary health care and introduction of family medicine and early childhood development services resulting in the introduction and scale up of the innovative services for young children.

Prior to joining the UNICEF Egypt Country Office, Selena has been a Chief Health and Nutrition programme in the State of Palestine (SoP) and she was leading a team who together constantly monitor the situation of children - in terms of rights to health, nutrition, and early childhood development, across the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

She has played an instrumental role in the development, and implementation, of the joint UN programme with WHO, UNFPA and WFP for strengthening Maternal, newborn and child health and nutrition systems and linking humanitarian and development interventions.
