Theresa Wong

Natural Resources Officer for Climate Change at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) Regional Office for the Near East and North Africa (RNE) based in Cairo, Egypt, where she leads the Greening Agriculture regional priority team. Theresa has a Ph.D in Geography and specializes in the intersection of environment and development. For the last ten years, she has specialized in policy and planning support for climate change adaptation, as well as implementation of climate change projects in agriculture sectors. She was previously assistant professor in Geography, and has published more than twenty articles, chapters and reviews on natural resource and environmental conflict, migration and the political economy of development.
